Uplifting Clients’ Bottom-line Results
My Business Model
Until corporate training is fully focussed on uplifting the company’s market
performance, in exclusively measurable terms, it will largely remain a waste of
expensive company resources. A new approach to the whole question of employee
development is long overdue.
The biggest challenge facing South Africa today
In the present situation, traditional training
in the fields of leadership, management and
interpersonal skills is completely inadequate, if we are, through the services
we offer, to have a greater influence on the bottom line results of our clients’
organisations.
Without a doubt, the biggest challenge facing industry, commerce and government
in South Africa today, is bringing the skills-base and overall performance
levels, of each and every member of the management team,
(from CEO to first-line supervisory levels), up to a world-class standard.
To fail to make a conscientious effort to ensure that all corporate training is
focussed exclusively on achieving specific and measurable improvement targets,
easily quantifiable, on the company’s bottom-line results, would be an act of
gross negligence.
A shift from group training to one-to-one coaching
Accordingly, I have redirected my focus to the design and implementation of one
to one coaching of
key senior individuals. My
coaching interventions are finely focussed on a predetermined improvement
target, defined in measurable terms (in
rands and cents) in the company’s market performance.
And apart from agreed nominal interim payments along
the way, which together with my total fee, were agreed upfront, my final fee
(from which the interim payments are
deducted), is only payable on the attainment of the pre-agreed end result.
